Water damage in Oklahoma

Our teams flew out to Oklahoma City this weekend to help with the terrible disasters that they were experiencing. Oklahoma City was hit with two major storms which resulted in leaking and breaking pipes. SERVPRO was asked to fly down to Oklahoma to help aid in this disaster and that is exactly what we did!  

Water damage can cause a variety of different problems, but one of the biggest problems it can cause would be mold! Mold develops when surfaces become moist. It really thrives in dark places like under baseboards and in walls. Mold can start growing within 24-48 hours after a flood or water leak. The amount of mold growth also depends on the material or surface the water lands on as well as the moisture level and temperatures.

We have moisture readers that will tell us what areas have been affected by water as well as mold testing to determine what kind of mold is growing. All of this will play a factor in what we need to remove or dry out.
