Winter is finally coming to an end and summer is almost here! The sun is shining, the weather is getting hotter, and you are starting to notice that the paint on your house isn't quite as nice as it used to be. The hot sun can be amazing and beneficial, but it can also be very damaging. One thing that the sun always seems to wreak havoc on is the exterior paint on our homes. For example, using a high quality acrylic latex paint is a great route to go if you want longevity. This is because it includes durable pigments and a binder that prevents it from breaking down. There is also weatherproof and moisture resistant paints out there you can explore as well.

They will be able to help you figure out which colors may hold up best against the sun, best paint products, and how long you may have before another repaint will be necessary. And remember it is more cost efficient to paint now then deal with wood rot, water damage, or flaking paint later.
